It is with great sadness that since the publication of this special issue, we have learned of the untimely death of Professor Chris Williams, Professor of History and Head the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, University College Cork.
A valued member of the Journal's advisory group, Chris was a distinguished labour and social historian writing extensively on Robert Owen, including Robert Owen and his legacy (University of Wales Press) - a volume of writings edited with his colleague the late Noel Thompson. Our sincere condolensces to his family, friends, and colleagues.
A Book of Condolences for Chris has been opened by University College Cork and is available to sign in Chris’ Office in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, ground floor of the O’Rahilly Building, UCC.
