This paper provides an overview of the work of, and the resulting  report from, the Education Executive working party to consider and make recommendations and techniques through which the co-operative principles may be projected most effectively among members and the wider public. This is followed by comments on the report which highlight the section on the emphasis on the interdependence of co-operative principles and practice, training, and engagement.

This opinion piece considers the identity, role and development of the Society and comments on its exisiting structure and activities, providing suggestions to boost the relevance and types of activities to engage current and prospective members. These suggestions include regional and national developments, expansion and developement of the Bulletin, and the encouragement and sponsorship of books and articles in learned journals to foster co-operative studies.
