Francesca is a Reader in Institutional Economics at the University of Hertfordshire. Her research applies comparative institutional analysis to the study of how the entrepreneurial ecosystem influences the creation, growth, performance, and survival of small and medium enterprises, particularly social enterprises and co-operatives.
Francesca has served on the board of a number of organisations and among her current positions is as Treasurer of the World Interdisciplinary Network for Institutional Research.
