2025 conference

Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March 2025

Queens Hotel in Leeds City Centre

The ABCUL Annual Conference is the largest event in the British credit union calendar. It provides the opportunity for credit union board members, staff and volunteers to hear from a wide range of speakers, discuss the issues that are important to them and network with others from the movement.

This year’s themes will focus on key developments shaping our sector, including:

  • The evolving political landscape and its impact on credit unions. With the newly formed Labour Government announcing plans to reform the credit union common bond, we’ll explore the Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ pledge to launch a call for evidence and task regulators to review the mutuals landscape.
  • Updates on ABCUL’s Community Development Credit Union Project.
  • The role of AI in the financial services sector.
  • Best practices in Marketing for Credit Unions.
