The Role of Credit Unions in Economic Growth and Member Empowerment

The National Cooperative Credit Union Association (NaCCUA) in Sierra Leone is the apex body for credit unions across the country. Established in 2013, it aims to address financial exclusion by promoting the credit union movement. NaCCUA supports its member credit unions through advocacy, training, financial literacy programs, and operational guidance. It also works to enhance financial inclusion by fostering cooperation among credit unions and engaging with government and development partners.

This webinar will feature Alhaji Mohamed Kanu is  the Finance Officer of National Cooperative Credit union Association (NaCCUA), Sierra Leone. With an MBA in Finance and seven years' experience in the credit union sector, he has served as a board member and later as Administrative Secretary until 2023.
